Bitfount is a platform for federated data science and AI, designed from the ground up to facilitate privacy-preserving data collaboration with a focus on health data. Platform features include support for federated analytics and AI/ML use-cases (model training, deployment and evaluation), usage-based governance controls, a privacy layer with built-in support for privacy enhancing technologies (PETs) including differential privacy and secure aggregation, full audit trail, easy installation on on-prem and cloud infrastructure including via a no-code desktop app, and more. The platform’s interoperability and functioning across TREs have been demonstrated in both phases of HDRUK’s DARE initiative as part of the FAIR TREATMENT and TRE-FX projects.
